Design for St. Paul Convention Center is acclaimed as
a huge success!
The recent design of the St. Paul convention has been aclaimed as a
success by many architectural critics. Architect Blake Carlson explains
the basis for his design;"A transition from the hustle and bustle of
downtown cityscape into the open plateau of Rice Park would enrichen the
site. From the North East side of site, the structure seems to be
nothing more than a playful yet respectable facade while within the warmth
of Rice Park, we see something totally different. We see a curious
hill that is green and lush. This hill has gardens and walkways.
This building is a passage from one world to another, from mondane to extraordinary
and is a tribute to the beauty of Rice Park and the city of St. Paul."
